Maths Teacher - SEN School in Romsey, Hampshire - ASAP/April start
Academics are seeking a successful Maths Teacher to join an independent special school on the outskirts of Romsey, Hampshire, which caters for children from KS2 – KS4 who have a range of complex needs, including Autism.
The single-storey purpose-built school caters for up to 24 children and includes an occupational therapy room and a designated therapeutic intervention space for speech and language.
The school is set on 60 acres of grassland, which is home to pigs, sheep, and cattle, and an extra 5 acres of woodlands for students to engage in Forest School. The school is surrounded by nature and has lessons dedicated to environmental studies. They also have their own climbing and archery barn, an allotment, and two poly tunnels for students to enjoy horticulture lessons, as well as farm study lessons where students have the opportunity to work with the various animals on-site.

This is a full-time, temp to perm/permanent contract starting ASAP/April.
They are looking for a Maths Teacher who is able to plan and deliver exciting Maths lessons across the school. They are happy to consider both qualified and unqualified Maths Teachers for the role. You should be passionate about Maths and able to build positive relationships with the students, bringing an engaging, empathetic, and strong presence to the classroom.
This role would be suited to someone who has worked in an SEN/SEMH school or with pupils with challenging behaviours, although they are open to teachers coming from a mainstream background.
