Paralegal/Legal Assistant in Community and Children Services

Overview:

Our client is seeking a Paralegal / Legal Assistant in Community and Children Services. The desired candidate will need to have good knowledge and understanding of Community Legal Services.

The role will be to assist and support the Community (Adult) and Children's Services Legal team in the provision of high-quality professional legal and administrative work.

Responsibilities:
  1. Support the community (Adult) and Children's Services Legal team in the delivery of its service to the local authority.
  2. Draft legal documents and legal forms, conduct legal research, and attend court.
  3. Maintain and organise legal files and documents, diarising deadlines and complying with court orders.
  4. Liaise with clients, witnesses, and other professionals to gather information.
  5. Provide general administrative support to the legal team.
Qualifications:
  1. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other IT systems.
  2. Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities.
  3. Good command of English language for effective communication.
  4. Previous experience in an office environment is advantageous.
  5. A qualification in paralegal studies or relevant field is desirable.

This role is temporary, with the potential to be ongoing for the right candidate.
