Introduction

As a Consultant, you’ll know what it means to lead a team and always strive for better. This is a great opportunity to join an established medical team at Farmfield Hospital in Charlwood, Surrey, and make a real difference to men who have enduring mental health problems.

Farmfield Hospital consists of a 51-bed secure unit with both medium secure wards and low secure wards for male service users, as well as one 15-bed male non-secure acute ward (Brockham). We are also in the process of opening a 12-bedded male medium secure ward.

As a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist, you will take on RC responsibility for up to 15 male service users on our medium and low secure wards. You will have the support of a non-consultant grade doctor as well as secretarial support.

Working with an established multi-professional team, you will deliver individualized care and have access to a large and supportive peer group of like-minded professionals.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Ensure that people admitted are assessed, treated, and discharged safely.
2. Medication management.
3. Quality assurance, complaints, and co-production.
4. Delivery of NICE guidance.
5. Lead and manage the CPA and ICR process to ensure full compliance with quality standards.
