Senior Youth Worker

Kidz Konnekt are recruiting for a Senior Youth Worker.

RESPONSIBLE TO: Youth Development Manager

RESPONSIBLE FOR:

1. The effective day-to-day running and development of Kidz Konnekt Youth Service.
2. Working effectively as part of the Leadership Team under the direction of the Manager.
3. Developing School Partnership work to support partnership work and Youth engagement.
4. Creating, developing and monitoring safe practices within the Organisation.
5. The recruitment and supervision of Project Workers and Sessional staff.
6. The development of appropriate evaluation and monitoring in line with all funders' requirements.
7. Engaging and developing young people’s interest in positive activities.
8. Promotion of projects/clubs and removing barriers to youth engagement.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Establish contact and work with young people within the community to develop their Social Education & Emotional Wellbeing.
• Establish effective working relationships with other professional and voluntary bodies that encourage and practice partnership working in the delivery of services for young people.
• Lead and direct the work of the Youth Work Team.
• Inform and support the work programme of the Project Worker.
• Oversee and be responsible for the building and its resources.
• Identify and pursue funding opportunities.
• Attend all relevant meetings pertinent to the post.
• Meet the requirements set by the Project to evaluate and monitor all areas of work.
• Produce and/or present written or oral reports as required or requested.
• Oversee the delivery of projects, targets and outcomes and adhere to high professional standards of work.
• Participate in training and development activities as required and assist with the training and development of colleagues.
• Carry out all work to Kidz Konnekt's policies, procedures and values.
• Take responsibility to meet targets and deadlines as per agreed work plans.
• Demonstrate a commitment to the principles of Equal Opportunities, both in relation to employment and service delivery.
