This is a great job for someone who has a solid understanding of the Intermediary market and investment products specifically multi-asset.

A bit about the job:

We are looking for a Business Development Associate to join our Global Wealth UK team. Based in London, you will be responsible for supporting our sales Directors in the development of new business and engaging directly with a panel of smaller adviser firms. The role sits within our Global Wealth UK team, which is responsible for managing and developing relationships with intermediaries and discretionary wealth managers. Within the role, you will work with regional sales directors to look after small value Adviser accounts and manage an individual panel of accounts while working closely with the regional sales team to provide the most suitable client coverage. You will be responsible for monitoring and tracking client data to monitor sales flow, identify new opportunities, and support accounts at risk for attrition while working closely with their regional sales team.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Strong sales and relationship experience. Ability to seek key decision makers and fact-find to create sales opportunities.
  • Confidence and ability to generate new leads and develop relations with prospective clients over the phone.
  • Ability to analyze client, market, and regulatory trends.
  • Ability to position investment products to appropriate market segments.
  • Currently working towards IMC or desire to do so.

What you’ll get for this role:

  • Generous pension scheme - Aviva will contribute up to 14%, depending on what you put in.
  • Eligibility for annual performance bonus.
  • Family-friendly parental and carer’s leave.
  • Generous holiday entitlement plus bank holidays with the option to buy/sell up to 5 additional days.
  • Up to 40% discount for Aviva products.

In this role, you’ll be ‘Certified’ under the Financial Conduct Authority / Prudential Regulation Authority’s Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR). This means that we’ll need to complete some regulatory background checks on you before you take up your role and we’ll need to ask you some questions on an annual basis to make sure you remain ‘fit and proper’ and competent to carry out your role. We’ll provide training on what holding a SMCR role means when you join us and annually thereafter.
