Are you a highly experienced and engaging people operations manager with a solid understanding of best practice people management who can provide effective coaching and mentoring on the practical application of these principles within a fast-paced and dynamic environment? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you…

-------------------------------------------
Our Opportunity…

Given the investment in Brand Homes, we have significantly grown our teams over a short period of time and our Brand Homes now account for c. 60% of our overall headcount within IMD. To provide further support as we continue to evolve and move on from the period of opening our new sites into operational business as usual, we now have a unique opportunity and are looking for a highly experienced and engaging People Operations Support Lead to join our team on a fixed term basis (c. 9 months).

Reporting to our Brand Homes Director, our People Operations Support Lead will work in partnership with our 3x Brand Homes Managers and HR Business Partner to share knowledge, best practice and provide coaching and mentoring to our people managers on the management of people. They will do so using their significant breadth and depth of operational focused people management experience, using the practical application of best practice people management skills and techniques. Support, guidance, nurturing and upskilling will ensure that a pragmatic, culturally aligned and commercially sensitive approach is adopted consistently across the Brand Homes business area, which is a complex, high energy, fast paced and dynamic operational environment.

-------------------------------------------
Who We Are Looking For…

For this role we are looking for a highly experienced, engaging and passionate people operations manager who has worked with large and dynamic teams within a fast-paced and complex operational environment. An effective communicator with good interpersonal skills who is able to build strong relationships and rapport. Someone with strong operational commercial acumen and a pragmatic approach to people management.

The successful candidate will have expertise in effective coaching and mentoring and embodies our core values, helping to support and nurture our culture of kindness, caring and respect. We need someone who understands operational excellence and can share their knowledge and insight to help us to continually improve and refine our people operational management processes.

This role will provide support across our Brand Homes sites, however, given the complex and evolving nature of our Edinburgh Gin Brand Home, we primarily see this role being based across our Edinburgh and Broxburn (head office) sites, with as required presence at our Glengoyne (Dumgoyne, North Glasgow). We are therefore looking for candidates who live within a commutable distance and who have a full driving license with access to their own transport.

ROLE SUMMARY

Our Brand Homes team are the public face of Edinburgh Gin, Rosebank, Glengoyne and Ian Macleod Distillers (IMD), bringing our world class processes and spirits to life through a variety of highly engaging experiences, communicating the essence of the brand in a way that fundamentally delights consumers, inspiring long-term brand devotion.

As we have continued to invest significantly in our Brand Homes with the opening of two brand-new Distilleries within the past year, our teams have grown immensely over a short period of time and now account for c. 60% of our overall headcount within IMD.

Our people are one of our biggest assets and are highly valued. As we move on from the period of opening our new sites, into operational business as usual, our new role of People Operations Support Lead will provide additional support to our three Brand Homes Managers whilst working in close partnership with our HR Business Partner (HRBP), to share knowledge, best practice and provide coaching and mentoring to our people managers on the management of people. They will do so using their significant breadth and depth of operational focussed people management experience, using the practical application of best practice people management skills and techniques. This is a site based standalone role which will initially prioritise a focus on our Edinburgh Gin Distillery due to the complex and evolving nature of this site, with additional wider support to our Glengoyne and Rosebank Distilleries. The role will therefore be primarily based across our Edinburgh and head office (Broxburn) locations, with as required presence at our Dumgoyne (North Glasgow) and Falkirk sites.
