An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the outpatient team as Nurse Manager for the Diabetes, Endocrine & Metabolism Centre (DEM Centre) within the Peter Mount Building. Within this role, the post holder will be expected to provide advice and guidance to the multidisciplinary team and ensure all records and documentation are completed and relevant. The role involves managing staff, rosters, appraisals, recruitment and selection, resource control, and budget management for the area. This role involves the overall 24-hour responsibility for the Department and therefore will require enhanced communication skills in order to deal with the broad range of issues involved in the day-to-day management of the department.
The successful candidate will be a registered nurse who is able to demonstrate that they are compassionate, possess excellent team working skills and the drive to deliver person-centered care to our patients.
This is a challenging and varied role where you will be required to use your clinical, operational, managerial, and leadership expertise. The post holder will be required to work independently and as part of a team using initiative while applying a high level of confidentiality to all of their work. You must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, manage and prioritise workload while managing a nursing task force.
