Job description

Job Description

We are looking for a Quality Control Inspector to oversee projects, including new build residential, retrofit, and external wall remediation. A full driving licence and access to a car are essential for travel between sites.

This role is Manchester-based, with travel across Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and inspect ongoing work, including subcontractors, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
  2. Report workmanship or material issues to the Project Manager and Principal Contractor.
  3. Prepare and submit detailed reports, manage tasks, and track progress using Fieldview.
  4. Maintain accurate work diaries, recording potential delays, site conditions, and any disruptions.
  5. Provide practical advice to keep projects on schedule.
  6. Address technical queries related to drawings and specifications.
  7. Attend project sites and perform inspections in line with contract requirements.

Requirements:

  1. Must have a valid driver’s licence and access to a car.
  2. Experience in new build residential, retrofit, and external wall remediation.
  3. Previous experience in a similar role (Quality Control Inspector, Assistant Site Manager, or Site Manager).
  4. Chartership is an advantage but not essential.
  5. Willing to work towards CIOB or ICWCI membership.
  6. Proficiency with modern technology, including tablets and Fieldview software.
