Vehicle Technician

Vehicle Technician with at least 3 years' general mechanical experience sought by a busy, family-run garage in Great Barr, Birmingham. Established for nearly 30 years, the garage has expertise in clutch replacement, servicing, diagnostics, brakes, exhausts & catalytic converters, cam belts and more.

The Role:

As a Vehicle Technician, you'll be working on vehicles while receiving training in vehicle maintenance within a fast-paced garage environment. Your duties will include:

1. Repairing/replacing broken or defective parts
2. Fault finding
3. Diagnosing issues by inspecting vehicle engine and components
4. Servicing vehicles
5. Operating specialist equipment
6. All other associated tasks

Minimum Requirements:

The successful experienced Vehicle Technician should have:

1. Minimum 3 years general mechanical experience
2. Up to Level 3 qualification in Motor Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or qualified by experience
3. Experience on clutch and transmission experience would be an advantage but not essential
4. Ability to commute easily to Great Barr
5. Full driving licence
6. Own basic tools are essential

The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in the automotive trade, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and be eager to learn.

£25,000 to £30,000 salary depending on experience
