Job description

GSL Education’s North Yorkshire branch is looking to appoint an ambitious, energetic, and passionate PE Teacher to work at a Client Secondary School located in York, North Yorkshire starting as soon as possible.

PE Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Deliver PE lessons to secondary students with diverse range of abilities.
  • Work with young students to enhance their teamwork and social skills.
  • Track students’ progress, ensuring lessons are accessible and inclusive for all.
  • Demonstrate proper techniques and provide clear instructions.
  • Maintain a safe environment during physical activities.
  • Ensure highest standards of safeguarding and health and safety during lessons.

PE Teacher Requirements:

  • Have experience planning and delivering GCSE and BTEC PE.
  • Specialism or significant experience in teaching PE.
  • Have knowledge and understanding of differentiating lessons for students with additional needs.
  • Be able to provide a 10-year career history with relevant reference details, including 2 most recent employers.
  • Hold a Child only DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
