Job description
UASC Support Worker

About This Support Worker Role:

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate full-time Support Worker to support young people aged 16 to 18 years old, who are referred into our unaccompanied asylum-seeking settings. You must have previous experience within this field and will be part of an embedded UASC team, made up of Support Workers, Team Managers, and a Registered Service Manager.

At New Chapters, we support all aspects of unaccompanied asylum-seeking young people’s experiences from the point that they are placed with us. Recognising the trauma, challenges, and loss our young people have been through, we undertake holistic assessments of their needs and support them through the immigration system, whilst also being ambitious for their future. NCSW is committed to the safeguarding, welfare, and development of all young people. We expect all our staff to share these values.

  • Engage young people to participate in positive activities, both in placement and in the community.
  • Build trusting relationships and provide emotional support to young people.
