We're currently looking for ambitious individuals to join our team covering the East of England. This will be a hybrid role, working from home but travelling as required.

What you’ll be doing:

  1. Holding a structured meeting with an individual, conducted face-to-face or remotely to identify appropriate study and support strategies to facilitate participation in their study activities including, where appropriate, non-medical helper (NMH) and travel support.
  2. Evaluate the suitability of, and offer advice on appropriate hardware, software, assistive technology and other aids for each individual.
  3. Produce formal written needs assessment reports in an appropriate format and in accordance with relevant guidance and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  4. Respond to post-assessment queries received from the customer or relevant Funding Body within the required time.
  5. Conduct a review of a customer's needs when requested.

What we are looking for:

Essential

  1. Ability to plan, prioritise and organise own workload.
  2. Excellent inter-personal, verbal and written communication skills.
  3. Advanced IT skills.
  4. To be proactive in undertaking continuing professional development.
  5. Pragmatic approach to problem solving.
  6. Ability to work under pressure to constant deadlines.
  7. Flexible, punctual and reliable.
  8. An understanding of the need for and importance of confidentiality and privacy.

Desirable

  1. Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  2. Knowledge of DSAs provision/support.
  3. Knowledge of assistive technology software.
  4. Disability related experience would be advantageous; however, full training will be provided with a commitment to undertaking a required number of continuous professional development training sessions to keep abreast of changes in the sector and to ensure up-to-date knowledge of relevant assistive technology (AT).
