Job description

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive HR / People Administrator to join our team in Newcastle-under-Lyme. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our HR processes while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure meticulous data integrity and quality in all HR records, reporting, and documentation.
  2. Take ownership of HR administration, including processing new joiners and leavers, maintaining employee records, and generating reports.
  3. Act as the first point of contact for HR queries, providing timely and effective responses in-person, via telephone, and via email.
  4. Support absence and performance management processes with accuracy and discretion.
  5. Collaborate with various teams to ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures.
  6. Assist in recruitment processes, contributing to a seamless and efficient experience for candidates and hiring managers.
  7. Support the planning and execution of company and team events.
  8. Maintain strict confidentiality while handling sensitive employee information.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  1. Proactive self-starter with strong problem-solving skills.
  2. Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
  3. Resilient, adaptable, and detail-oriented.
  4. Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  5. Proficient in HRIS – ideally knowledge of IFS HCM but not essential, Microsoft Office, and data analysis.
  6. Strong communication skills with a customer-service focus.
  7. Knowledge of HR policies, employment laws, and best practice.

Working Hours: This is a full-time role, usually Monday to Friday – 9am – 5pm.
