Toolmaker

Job Overview: Retained by our client, an established injection moulding manufacturer, we are looking for a Toolmaker to join their team.

Remit:

1. As a Toolmaker, you will be responsible for the repair & service of injection mould tools.

Role:

1. Maintenance, service, and repair of injection mould tools on site.
2. Use of CNC milling machines.
3. Use of EDM spark eroders.
4. Use of conventional toolroom machinery, surface grinders.

The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and the desire to learn and develop upon their skills as this position can offer growth, stability, and security.

Experience Requirements:

1. Engineering Qualification / Time Served Apprenticeship.
2. Previous injection moulding tool making/maintenance experience.
3. CNC milling experience is essential (Heidenhain).
4. EDM spark erosion experience would be desirable.
5. Enthusiastic, self-motivated, able to work on own initiative or within a small tooling team.
6. General understanding of how to safely operate toolroom equipment and machinery.
7. Experience in interpreting engineering drawings both 2D and 3D.
8. Computer literate with experience of using MS Excel, MS Word & Power.
