Purpose of Job
The EBRD Security Manager - Operations is responsible for delivering security provisions across the Bank's entire Resident Office network and London Headquarters. The role will, in accordance with the Bank's security policy and procedures, support the Bank's activities and operations worldwide.
Under the guidance of the Associate Director, Security Operations, deliver a comprehensive security operation that includes Resident Office security provisions, security audits, safe staff movements, high-risk mission planning, close protection, movement controls, training, and emergency response. The role involves significant overseas travel sometimes at short notice.
Background
The position encompasses both hands-on security operational activities and a requirement to contribute to strategic planning, achieved via a thorough understanding of the risks faced by EBRD staff and how to effectively mitigate these risks.
The Bank operates within the UN Department of Safety and Security framework, maintaining important relationships with UN offices and ensuring compliance with UN standards.
Facts / Scale
EBRD has over 50 Regional Offices and approximately 3,000 staff, many of whom travel regularly to various locations worldwide. The role requires interfacing with Bank staff at all levels to identify potential risks and implement adequate mitigation measures.
