Financial Controller 12 month FTC

Our client seeks a candidate with a compelling commercial background to lead the financial reporting team and ensure financial data is prepared accurately while providing technical guidance. Responsibilities include:

1. Coaching and appraisals of team members.
2. Overseeing annual consolidated financial statements and individual company financial statements.
3. Preparing monthly and annual consolidation of group entities and subsequent reporting and analysis, including monthly management accounts and variance analysis.
4. Analyzing management information and presenting findings.
5. Collaborating with the Balance Sheet & Liquidity Manager to prepare Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and cashflow forecasts and departmental P&L reports.
6. Preparing board packs and attending board meetings of regulated entities.
7. Assisting with annual budgets.
8. Completing tax computations and returns in line with submission deadlines.

The ideal candidate should be a qualified Accountant with extensive accounting experience and demonstrable commercial acumen. They should be flexible, able to respond to change, and find solutions. Key qualifications include:

1. Experience in people management.
2. Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
3. Experience utilizing a practice management system; Elite 3e or Viewpoint is useful but not essential.
