Transport Manager

Based from our Craft Bakery in Nantwich, we are looking to recruit a Transport Manager to lead our team of multi-drop delivery drivers who deliver fresh bakery produce to our shops and wholesale customers across Staffordshire, Cheshire, North Wales, Liverpool and the Wirral. You will be required to manage and support transport staff, vehicles, and equipment whilst ensuring compliance with H&S, vehicle standards, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee fleet management and vehicle maintenance.
2. Ensure adherence to company procedures (H&S, COSHH, food safety).
3. Manage rotas, timesheets and holidays.
4. Support business improvement projects.
5. Compile and communicate KPI reports.
6. Conduct interviews and manage recruitment processes.
7. Handle customer service issues and vehicle accidents.
8. Maintain high standards of employee conduct and communication.
9. Ensure correct delivery of orders, following delivery instructions and food hygiene practices.
10. Address customer complaints and supply issues.

You will need the following:

1. Full valid driving licence with at least 2 years driving experience.
2. 2 years management or supervisory experience in a transport environment.

The role is 5 days per week, working Monday to Saturday with a rolling day off on a six week rota. The standard working week is 40 hours.

Start and finish times are approximately 4am to 12pm Monday to Friday, and 2am to 10am on Saturday.
