Located in central Southsea, in an old Victorian building, we give a home from home experience for children in our care. We are looking for a fun, enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly team.

Operating hours:

38 hours per week between 8am-6pm Monday to Friday all year round.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Southsea for a Deputy room leader. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering learning experiences that promote children's physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development, working alongside the room leader to support the children and team. The deputy room leader will also collaborate with other professionals to ensure that each child's needs are being met and that their individual care plans are being followed.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Early Years Education or above
• Excellent knowledge of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) and experience working with children aged 0-5 years
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate learning experiences
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
• Experience in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of children's progress and development
• Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures and risk assessment
• An understanding of equal opportunities and inclusion
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with a positive and flexible attitude
• Willingness to participate in continued professional development and training
