Assistant / Trainee Estimator

Clearfield Recruitment have partnered with a trusted name in the roofing industry. We are looking for a motivated Assistant / Trainee Estimator to join their team in Wymondham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with prior estimating experience to develop their skills in a specialist sector, with full training provided.

As an Assistant / Trainee Estimator, you will support the estimating team in preparing accurate cost estimates and tenders for a variety of roofing projects. While roofing experience is advantageous, it is not essential as comprehensive training is provided to help you succeed.

Key Responsibilities of this role include:

1. Assisting in the preparation of cost estimates and tender submissions
2. Reviewing project specifications, drawings, and contract documents
3. Sourcing and liaising with suppliers and subcontractors
4. Supporting site visits and project assessments as required
5. Helping to identify cost-saving and value engineering opportunities

The ideal applicant will possess:

1. Previous estimating experience (essential)
2. Strong numerical and analytical skills with keen attention to detail
3. Excellent communication and organisational abilities
4. A proactive and eager-to-learn attitude
5. Competency in Microsoft Office and estimating software (training provided)
