About the Team and Role
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity in Gloucestershire Highways working in a key role for our street lighting service, delivering operational maintenance and capital replacement work activities? You will have day-to-day responsibility for delivering street lighting solutions through our Term Maintenance contract.
Gloucestershire has 70,000 street lighting assets across diverse landscapes including the Cotswold’s, the Forest of Dean, and Severn Vale.
About You
You will have a keen interest in and a commitment to providing sustainable street lighting maintenance and capital replacement services. You will be part of a small team with a responsibility for a geographic area, delivering maintenance and replacement solutions, dealing with stakeholder inquiries/requests, and preparing work instructions with our term maintenance contractor for these works.
You will administer and undertake final inspections of work to ensure that it complies with our specification and quality requirements. You will have a working knowledge of the latest version of BS767, Wiring regulations.
There will be a requirement to work with in-house and external partners, including our term maintenance contractor, to successfully deliver this maintenance and replacement work, providing outcomes that achieve service level and council objectives. You will build and maintain excellent working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
You will be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines and will have experience applying the CDM Regulations 2015, demonstrating a commitment to health, safety, welfare, and equal opportunities.
