Senior Accountant

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Accountant to join our team. We are an established and settled firm with a growing portfolio of clients.

Client Details

Our client is a well-established professional services firm, based just outside of Chester. With a mid-sized team, they are renowned for their high quality work and commitment to their clients.

Description

• Ability to confidently work on Corporate and Technical accounts.
• Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
• Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results.
• Analyse financial information and summarise financial status.
• Identify errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending.
• Provide technical support and advice to management.
• Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
• Participate in financial standards setting and forecast process.
• Support month-end and year-end close process.
• Reviewing and coaching of junior work.

Profile

A successful Senior Accountant should have:

• Proven experience as a senior accountant within a similar sized firm.
• ACA/ACCA qualified or substantially QBE.
• Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures.
• In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Awareness of business trends.
• Familiarity with financial accounting statements.
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
• BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant.
• Relevant certification (e.g. CMA or CPA) will be preferred.

Job Offer
