You are a dual-qualified Patent Attorney (CPA/EPA) looking to expand your IP skillset, specifically in relation to high-value litigation matters.
You should have demonstrable experience working on patents in telecoms, ideally 3GPP and SEPs. Although experience in telecoms as a trainee or qualified attorney is important, an academic background in telecoms or communications technology is not essential.
This brand-new role is uniquely positioned within a dedicated practice team, forming an integral service to patent clients requiring litigation support. As a qualified Patent Attorney, you will extend your technical expertise to a team of litigators with portfolio analysis, portfolio testing, and drafting and prosecution of patents.
Technology areas include telecoms work, with a significant proportion focusing on Standard Essential Patents (SEP) litigation, for which this market-leading firm has earned an enviable reputation as a ‘go-to’ expert in the field.
This firm’s multi-award-winning patent litigation practice is highly successful for its clients and highly ranked in the legal directories. They possess an innovative combination of patent attorneys alongside experienced specialist patent litigators, providing an invaluable combination of professionals to work with to evaluate the fine detail of cases, both technically and legally.
Their cross-border team of patent litigators sits in the UK and Germany, allowing them to service clients in two of the key European patent litigation jurisdictions.
This role will suit a Patent Attorney who has worked in a patent firm where they have been involved in relevant litigation cases or a candidate who has been exposed to litigation in-house, ideally within the telecoms sector at a manufacturer or network company.
If you possess a professional attitude, are able to express complex ideas clearly and concisely, and can balance knowledge of IP law with commercial requirements, then this unique proposition should certainly appeal.
