Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and knowledgeable Self-Employed Later Life Adviser to join our growing team. You will provide expert advice tailored to clients' individual circumstances, guiding them through the complexities of later-life lending solutions. With access to a whole-of-market proposition, you’ll be able to offer the best possible solutions for your clients while enjoying the flexibility and autonomy of self-employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Consultation: Engage with clients to understand their financial situations and later-life lending needs.
- Expert Advice: Offer tailored guidance on equity release, retirement interest-only mortgages, and other later-life lending solutions.
- Market Research: Analyse products from a wide range of lenders to identify the best options for clients.
- Applications Management: Support clients with their applications, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Lender Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with lenders and financial institutions to stay updated on new products.
- Compliance & Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of client interactions and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about the later-life lending market, regulatory changes, and emerging financial trends.

Key Skills & Qualifications
- CeMAP Qualification + CeRER (or equivalent) is required; must have been CAS.
- Strong knowledge of the UK later-life lending market, mortgage products, and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to explain complex financial products clearly.
- Proactive, sales-driven mindset with the ability to manage a diverse client portfolio.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in handling applications and compliance.
- Understanding of FCA regulations and navigation of conversations around vulnerability.
