Job description

Nursery: Bright Horizons Farnborough Day Nursery and Preschool

Salary: £24,440 - £31,865.60 (dependant on qualification/s and experience)

Location: Farnborough

We are looking for a full time, Level 3 qualified Room Leader to join our Bright Horizons Farnborough Nursery.

Our 104 place nursery is proudly rated 'Good' by Ofsted and the nursery has plenty of space for children to learn and explore, with bright and airy age specific rooms and the large garden is equipped with a mud kitchen, wildlife area, gardening patch.

What you’ll be doing:

  1. Lead, mentor and inspire a team to deliver exceptional care and education
  2. Ensure the learning environment provides consistent stimulation and engaging activities for the children, across both the indoor and outdoor areas
  3. Deliver and plan rich learning opportunities and exceptional care, to help all children to develop and meet their individual milestones
  4. Develop and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents and/or carers, as well as other professionals, to meet the individual needs of each child
  5. Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding procedures and policies are followed at all times
  6. Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy and safe environment on a day to day basis

What we’re looking for:

  1. Full and Relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
  2. Previous experience working within an Early Years setting (ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator or similar)
  3. Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
  4. Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
  5. Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents
  6. Ability to use a variety of techniques to clearly and successfully communicate with both children and adults

This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
