Job description

Teacher of Psychology and Sociology

We are seeking a motivated Teacher of Psychology and Sociology to join our dynamic team to teach Key Stages 4 and 5.

Person Specification
  1. Proven successful teaching experience in the secondary phase, demonstrating good to outstanding practice.
  2. A strong understanding of a KS3 national curriculum subject.
  3. Ability to analyse and use data effectively to monitor student progress and drive improvement.
Professional Knowledge:
  1. Strong knowledge of statutory curriculum requirements, assessment, recording, and reporting procedures, and the role of assessment for learning in student development.
  2. Strategies to enhance students’ literacy, numeracy, and ICT skills within the subject.
  3. Effective use of ICT to enhance teaching and learning.
  4. Awareness of the Special Educational Needs (SEN) Code of Practice and Health & Safety requirements in relation to teaching and learning.
