The Physical Commodities (Oil) Settlements team at Macquarie is responsible for providing business-aligned operations, including deal validation and settlement support to Macquarie’s commodities business. This team plays a crucial role in supporting the fast-evolving Commodity Markets and Financing business, contributing to its growth and success.

While Macquarie offers hybrid working for many of our roles, this role does require 3 days a week in our London office.

At Macquarie, our advantage is bringing together diverse people and empowering them to shape all kinds of possibilities. We are a global financial services group operating in 34 markets and with 55 years of unbroken profitability. You’ll be part of a friendly and supportive team where everyone - no matter what role - contributes ideas and drives outcomes.

What role will you play?

As a senior member of Physical Commodities Operations, you will mentor a team of high-performing specialists. Your role will involve reviewing the current state of physical oil commodities operations, taking accountability for the team’s output, identifying plans for improvement, and overseeing their delivery. Additionally, you will keep abreast of commodity market and technology trends, identify and leverage new opportunities aligned with strategic goals, and build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the business, risk, and operations teams.

What you offer
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable interacting with and influencing senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to balance the detail of physical commodity business processes and controls with the ability to think broadly and create a strategic plan.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate and deliver projects driving measurable risk management outcomes.
  • Proven track record of leading teams to achieve strong results.
  • 7+ years’ experience in physical oil commodities settlements.

We love hearing from anyone inspired to build a better future with us. If you're excited about the role or working at Macquarie, we encourage you to apply.
