Job: NHS Supply Chain Graduate

Directorate: Finance

Location: Hybrid working from any of our office locations listed: Sheffield, Leeds, Nottingham, Alfreton, Chester Warrington.

Salary: £29,006 potential to increase after the 6 months probation.

Graduate Trainee – Finance and Planning

As a Graduate Trainee you will play a key part within your allocated directorate of Finance. You will be working for the Finance and Planning team and will navigate through the programme on a rotational basis and provide support to the organisation that is relevant to delivering change projects within NHS Supply Chain.

What does a Finance and Planning Graduate Trainee do at NHS Supply Chain?

You will experience different areas of the business as a Finance and Planning Graduate including placements in key areas of the finance. You will be allocated a mentor for the duration of your programme and the opportunity to gain 2-way feedback on your programme over the 3-year period.

With the support from others in the team, as a Finance and Planning Graduate Trainee, you will work with senior leaders in the business to deliver strategic projects that closely support the businesses goals. You will support large projects needed to deliver the business plans and will eventually lead on smaller projects with appropriate support, guidance, and training.

What skills will help you thrive in this role?

  • 2:2 classification degree or above achieved within the last three years gained in economics, maths or finance and accounting.
  • Some accountancy experience would be helpful but not essential as full training will be provided.
  • Excellent numerical, Excel, computer literacy, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work well with people, strong organisational skills.
  • Desire to work in or to support the NHS with a drive and ambition.
  • Any specific qualification required that a directorate needs.
