PRE-APC COMMERCIAL BUILDING SURVEYOR - CITY OF LONDON - £40-50,000 BASIC + BONUS + BENEFITS

Dove & Hawk are working in partnership with a Chartered Surveying Practice and Building Consultancy who are in the process of growing their London office by bringing on a Building Surveyor to assist the Commercial team in the completion of projects (predominantly within the Office Space and Industrial Sectors). This role would be suitable for someone who has at least 1 year working within a similar role within the commercial building surveying space and who is looking to join a firm that can provide them with a broad range of experience to allow them to submit for the APC:

Duties/Functions of the Role:

• Working across several commercial projects in different sectors (office space, industrial, retail etc) and being able to provide a range of building surveying duties.
• Undertaking feasibility studies, producing specifications, obtaining estimates, obtaining statutory approvals, and administering contracts for refurbishment projects.
• Dealing with Dilapidations and Party Wall Matters.
• Knowledge of building surveying professional services.
• Mentoring and training the junior Building Surveyors in the APC programme.
• Understand the principles of quality, safety, and the environment within the management of projects.
• Supporting the senior managers in their day-to-day activities.
• Carrying out surveys, inspections, schedules, provide professional services and the management of schemes in the London Region.

Requirements of the role:

• At least 1+ years experience working as a Commercial Building Surveyor.
• The desire to complete the APC.
• A full & valid UK driving licence.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Prior experience in a client-facing role.

Salary Budgets: £40-50,000 basic salary dependant on experience and expertise, plus bonus and benefits.

Required working hours: Monday to Friday 9:30am-5:30pm (1 WFH day per week)
