SEN Support Assistant – Wokingham
Immediate Start – Full Time

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? Are you eager to gain hands-on experience working with students who have complex learning needs? Do you aspire to a career as a Therapist, Psychologist, or similar and want practical experience to help you take the next step?

A specialist school in Wokingham is looking for a caring and dedicated SEN Support Assistant to join their team. The school caters to children aged 5 to 18 with diverse social, emotional, and mental health needs, offering tailored support and the opportunity to work alongside experienced SEN practitioners.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supporting children with Social and Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.
  2. Working with students with varied needs, including Autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome, behavioural challenges, sensory processing difficulties, physical disabilities, and communication barriers.
  3. Assisting students in developing emotional regulation and social skills.
  4. Demonstrating enthusiasm for working with children and an interest in the SEN field.
  5. Bringing a positive attitude, adaptability, and calmness to every situation.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in the SEN field, making it perfect for graduates in Psychology, Criminology, or related disciplines.
