Social Media Associate / Junior Associate (Consultant/Remote)

We are looking for a creative and digitally savvy Social Media Associate to support our social media strategy and execution. Our future colleague should be plugged into digital trends, skilled in content creation, and eager to contribute to high-impact campaigns in global health and policy.

The ideal candidate has strong geopolitical awareness, diplomatic judgment, a solid understanding of the global digital landscape, and a passion for storytelling.

Given our global impact, we are looking for multilingual candidates.

Please note that this is a fully remote full-time contract role.

About the GHS team

The GHS team is comprised of exceptional communicators, content producers and collaborators who know how to execute efficiently while bringing fresh ideas to their work. They also bring a sense of humor and enjoy having fun.

About the position

Associates work closely with GHS staff to assist in the design and implementation of communications and advocacy strategies for a range of issues in global health. Associates will spend the majority of their time supporting meaningful client work and are also provided opportunities for training, development, and career growth.

Responsibilities
  1. Support GHS staffers working with clients.
  2. Assist in the day-to-day management of GHS’s social media channels (X/Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Bluesky, etc.).
  3. Track and analyze digital trends, identifying opportunities for engagement and growth.
  4. Support the development of engaging multimedia content (text, visuals, videos, and interactive formats).
  5. Draft social media posts, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with GHS’s messaging.
  6. Monitor conversations, engage with key influencers, and track relevant global policy discussions.
  7. Help with social media reporting, performance insights, and recommendations for optimization.
  8. Assist in internal trainings and documentation of best practices for social media engagement.
  9. Assist GHS staff with project management (e.g., drafting meeting minutes, updating work plans, tracking budgets).
Training and Development

Weekly support with a manager; mentorship opportunities.

Requirements and Qualifications
  1. Multilingual candidate. Candidates should be fluent in at least two (2) languages including English.
  2. Digital media savvy – TikTok, Podcasts, Twitch, YouTube, how do you understand the space?
  3. Degree in Communications, Journalism, Global Health, or International Affairs. If an awesome candidate doesn’t have a degree but has the talent, we can consider.
  4. Clear, concise, and effective communicator.
  5. Entrepreneurial, innovative, and passionate about improving global health.
Valuable Experience
  1. Internship in a communications or social media capacity at a Global Health organization, a diplomatic body, government, or Think Tank.
  2. Content creator – show us what you can do!
