Job description

A unique opportunity has arisen with my client for an Aircraft Fitter/Mechanic. As an Aircraft Fitter, you will be responsible for Maintenance, Repairs, and Modifications to the aircraft.


Role: Aircraft Fitter/Mechanic
Salary: Upon Application
Location: Brize Norton
Shift Pattern: 5,5,4 Day Shift


Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for the maintenance of the aircraft and safe use of ground equipment.
  2. Can accurately navigate and interpret aircraft maintenance documentation.
  3. Carry out aircraft modifications and light structural work if required.
  4. Compliance with the organisational policies and procedures.
  5. Identifying and rectifying existing and potential unsafe conditions.
  6. Maintaining the work environment in a clean and safe manner using a "clean as you go" approach.
  7. Complying with company Safety Management System (SMS) occurrence reporting procedures.
  8. Complying with the safety policy.
  9. Complete aircraft paperwork to a high standard.
  10. An awareness of COSHH, Working at height, and Manual handling safety requirements.
  11. Actively embrace a Continuous Improvement (CI) culture.

Experience Required:

  1. Must currently have eligibility to live and work in the UK; unfortunately, sponsorship cannot currently be offered.
  2. Be able to successfully complete MOD security clearance.
  3. Must hold a valid aircraft standards-based qualification (Apprenticeship/NVQ level 3) or aircraft-related academic qualification/traineeship with a minimum of 3 years recorded experience or be able to satisfy our client's Training/Maintenance management team.
  4. Current Human factor initial and refresher, EWIS, and SFAR 88 certificate.
  5. Knowledge of aeronautical regulations.
  6. Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
  7. Experience on A400M, Airbus, Propeller, or Wide body Aircraft (4-5 Years).
  8. Previous exposure to (email address removed) and Amos.
  9. Knowledge of Military Aviation Authority (MAA) MRP Part 145 regulations.
  10. Good communication skills, both verbally and written, and interpersonal skills.
  11. A proven ability to work as part of a team.
  12. Be able to work on your own initiative and demonstrate leadership skills.
  13. Proficient organisational skills and an ability to work in an efficient manner.
  14. IPAF/MEWP familiarisation.
