Job description

Tower Research Capital, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks a Support Engineer to join our Enterprise Technology team.

The Enterprise Technology division is responsible for delivering high quality information technology products for internal users at a global scale, through core infrastructure, automation, security, and cloud-based services.

Responsibilities
  • Identifying, prioritizing, and resolving level 1 incidents and requests
  • Monitoring and overseeing the Service Desk Function, and reporting any incidents and escalations
  • Proactively working on issues, identifying problem areas, and providing solutions to enhance quality of service and to prevent future problems
  • Configuring, deploying, and supporting a fleet of desktop and laptop hardware running Windows, Linux, and Mac OS
  • Managing user permissions and account access
  • Light computer desktop and laptop repair (RAM upgrades, Disk replacement, power supplies, etc.)
  • Supporting, installing and troubleshooting meeting room AV hardware
  • Installing, configuring, and supporting desk and mobile (iOS) phones
  • Onboarding and offboarding users
  • Troubleshooting software application issues
  • Managing and maintaining information on Tower’s internal pages
  • Internal office desk moves and changes
  • Maintaining and keeping an inventory of all desktops, laptops, and associated peripherals
Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of desktop support experience
  • A passion for technology
  • Familiarity / experience with industry ticketing systems (JIRA)
  • Experience with common remote troubleshooting technologies like Goto Assist
  • Experience with endpoint management solution (Jamf, Workspace One)
  • A solid knowledge of PC and Apple hardware and computer internals
  • Knowledge with Logitech/Google Meet hardware would be a plus
  • The ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware failures
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • The ability to balance and prioritize multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to work well as part of a team that supports production, back-office computing, and end user support functions
  • The ability to read and interpret English-language technical documents
  • The ability to speak business-level English
  • A working knowledge of Linux (preferred)
  • An educational background in computer science or IT (preferred)

Candidates should also be available for occasional travel to different Tower offices.
