Account Director - Consumer PR

Splendid Communications is looking for an exceptional Account Director to work as a client lead on a number of high-profile consumer brands.

You will have had relevant experience, be passionate about food and drink clients as well as delivering great results.

This role will position you on the senior team at Splendid and give you an opportunity to contribute to the agency in a significant way.

Required skills and experience:

• Excellent client management skills with a proven track record of working with senior clients
• Strong presentation skills
• Excellent writing skills including press releases to generate news and launch campaigns
• Excellent project management and problem-solving skills
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Strategic planning and management skills
• Solid experience in consumer PR up to Account Director level
• Previous experience working on food and drink and retail clients is essential
• Experience of directly managing people
• Strong team-working skills, resilience and tenacity

Responsibilities:

• Managing multiple brand managers and stakeholders and their needs
• Working in a highly detailed manner to ensure total clarity on strategy and planning
• Playing a clear leadership role as a representative of the Splendid senior management team, internally and externally
• Leading, motivating and developing the team to ensure that they produce creative, high-quality work for our clients. Working with them on their development to be the best that they can be and are able to maximise personal growth and career opportunities within the agency
• Ensuring the account is profitable
• Supporting the new business team in pitches and leading the pitch process
• Identifying new client opportunities
