Qualifications

  • Experience in CNC machine tools and strong mechanical/electrical maintenance skills.
  • Qualifications from a recognized body and NVQ level 3 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Perform reactive maintenance on heavy plant machinery and work from engineering drawings.
  • Install and commission machinery while executing PPMs and line improvements.

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer.

Orion is partnered with a fast-paced, heavy industrial manufacturing company located in Kidderminster. We are recruiting for a confident and experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer Duties:

  • Reactive maintenance of medium & heavy plant machinery – CNC, die casting machines, mills, compactors, pelletizers, hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, sensors, relays, etc.
  • Work from engineering drawings
  • Machinery installation & commissioning
  • PPMs
  • Line improvement tasks
  • Fault finding using PLCs
  • Working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer Required Experience:

  • CNC machine tool knowledge and experience
  • Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance of production machinery
  • Machinery installation
  • Machinery commissioning
  • PPMs & reactive maintenance in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment
  • Mechanical and/or electrical qualifications from a recognised body
  • NVQ level 3 or BTEC L3 or equivalent
  • Electrical fault-finding skills
  • PLC experience
  • Machinery maintenance (PPMs and reactive)
  • Both mechanical & electrical machinery maintenance
  • FMCG or heavy industrial machinery experience
  • Continuous improvement projects
  • Strong communication skills

Friday 6pm – 6am

Saturday 6pm – 6am

Sunday 6pm – 4am
