Special Information:

Position requires good health and physical condition. Working conditions involve outdoor work, often in inclement weather. Daily travel is often required, some under poor road conditions or on back roads. Work schedule is variable and may involve working in remote field locations on rare occasions. The knowledge, skills, and abilities of this position are normally attained through experience in the landscaping trades, recreational areas, golf courses, parks, etc.
Lewis and Clark Caverns State Park is a 3,000-acre public recreation and nature preservation area in Montana, USA. It features one of the largest known limestone cavern systems in the northwest. The caverns were discovered in 1892 by local hunters and became Montana's first state park. Groundskeeping duties for this position will include work around the caverns, various buildings, and the campground on a daily basis. Being comfortable in this environment is essential to the position. Other duties will consist of maintaining the grounds and facilities of the park as well as working at Fishing Access Sites located in the area.
