Our Client

Mechanical Engineer / Building Services Engineer required for our client, a well-known and reputable mechanical and electrical contractor based in the East Grindstead area. They have been in business for over 50 years, have a turnover of over 50m a year, and currently employ over 350 members of staff. They currently require the Static Mechanical Engineer / Building Services Engineer to join the team in East London.

Mechanical Engineer / Building Services Engineer Responsibilities

1. Semi-static position with primary location being an NHS site close to Hackney with occasional requirement to attend other NHS sites local to the East London area.
2. Maintenance and repairs to mechanical plant room systems including hot and cold water systems, AHUs, heat exchangers, fan coil units, pumps, valves, HIUs, pipework, etc.
3. General building services requirements include fire alarm checks, monitoring BMS systems, emergency lighting checks and repairs, legionella testing, etc.
4. Reactive maintenance / breakdown work of mechanical and building services systems.

1. Previous experience in a similar position.
2. Knowledge and experience in repair and maintenance of mechanical plant and building services systems.
3. Previous experience working within healthcare sites would be seen as advantageous.
4. Full UK driving licence.

1. Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
2. Mon - Fri (40 Hours)
3. Call out: 1 in 6 weeks
4. 25 Days Holiday + BH (Further 5 days available for purchase)
5. Pension (4%)
