JOB TITLE: CONSTRUCTION MANAGER
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the Construction delivery of the project.
- Responsible for the safe delivery of the project.
- Ensure that competent personnel are employed both onshore and offshore and that progress and productivity are maintained at an acceptable level in line with the project schedule.
- Managing the construction team to ensure delivery is of high quality, efficient and safe; within set budgets and agreed timescales.
- Leading all construction related activity and providing strategic and professional support to the Project Manager and Operations Director.
- Manage the engagement and performance of site sub-contractors.
- Managing construction related bids and proposals.
- Engaging with existing and new customers to develop the business and assist with contract governance and performance.
- Ensuring onshore and offshore competency is monitored and maintained.
- Managing resourcing levels across contracts and projects.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and innovation.
- Leading construction delivery on specific projects as required.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Candidates should hold a professional qualification in a relevant discipline and have extensive experience with site construction within the UK and overseas. Experience of operating under CDM regulations and management of multiple sub-contractors.
- Construction execution and standards.
- Multi-discipline capability covering white and black trades.
- Leadership skills.
- Broad onshore & offshore execution experience.
- Experience in an onshore management position.
- Experience of managing the construction of onshore HV substations.
- Significant experience in the production and support of proposals.
- Construction execution and systems experience.
- Incident investigation experience.
