Job Description: Technical Project Manager

About you: An experienced Technical Project Manager with a passion for IT and pride in your work. A collaborative team player who takes shared ownership of program completion across functions, focused on delivering better outcomes for customers and teams. Thrives in a fast-paced environment, meeting tight deadlines while continually improving your skills and supporting others. Works closely with all functions across the divisions and stakeholders at all levels. Experience in technical transformation projects is essential.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

  1. Project Coordination & Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, detailing schedules, resource allocation and RAID management to execute and deliver projects within a specified timeline. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA and product managers, to meet project requirements. Monitor progress, adjust as needed, and conduct post-project evaluations for improvement.
  2. Process Improvement: Collaborate with teams to enhance efficiency, unlock capacity and address risks and issues within programs and projects.
  3. Drive Key Initiatives: Coordinate and advance IT & Operations projects, ensuring alignment with divisional goals.
  4. Stakeholder Engagement: Foster effective communication and maintain alignment on objectives, deliverables, and milestones with stakeholders at all levels.
  5. Technical Leadership: Work closely with developers, architects and DevOPS to ensure alignment in project goals. Lead technical discovery sessions to scope out requirements, identify dependencies and define solutions.
  6. Technical Expertise: Strong technical knowledge to understand technology architecture and technical dependencies. Familiarity with web and application development, APIs, cloud infrastructure (Azure / Private Cloud).

Your skills and experiences might also include:

  1. Data Centre migrations: Experience in planning, executing and overseeing the successful migration of data centre infrastructure, applications and services from one location to another.
  2. Problem solving: Work collaboratively, troubleshooting, identifying alternative options and pivot direction as required.
  3. Change Management Expertise: Proven experience in change management within a software or operational environment.
  4. Project Leadership: Strong program and project management skills, adept at handling multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  5. Effective Communication: Excellent ability to convey complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, with strong verbal and written skills.
  6. Collaborative Team Player: Skilled at working in virtual, global, and cross-functional teams, with a talent for motivating others.
