We are currently recruiting for a National Account Executive (FTC - 6 months) to join our team supporting the Grocery Channel as a channel executive. This is a great opportunity to play an important role at an exciting time in our journey. The post-holder will be responsible for delivering commercial performance, leading an account, and supporting Senior Account Managers with account support and administration of customers.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide support and administration for Ocado and Waitrose
  • Lead account forecasting in collaboration with Finance and Demand Planning, including Base, NPD, and Promotional forecasting, ensuring financial accuracy.
  • Assist Customer Business Manager in developing a successful Juice AOP.
  • Maintain strong trading relationships and wiring plans.
  • Evaluate and review promotional performance with category teams to make necessary adjustments.
  • Collaborate internally across category, finance, shopper marketing, merchandising, eCommerce, and supply chain to maximise performance through WCCE.
  • Provide EPOS reporting and keep all trackers up to date.
  • Oversee field priorities and execution calendar when needed.
  • Administer and account for sales investments, especially promotions, including promotion reviews, invoice validation, and managing deductions and claims.
  • Support the period close process, handling accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Own Trade Promotion and Settlements reporting for each account, including weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports.
  • Work closely with the sales team and other business stakeholders to implement new business processes, especially around SAP and TPM implementation.

This list covers the main duties you will undertake, but other duties will be required and added to as needed to meet project and business needs. Flexibility to support the business is essential to the role.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience in both strategic and operational category management
  • Experience managing grocery channels in the FMCG sector
  • Skills in customer management and building strong relationships
  • Ability to provide thought leadership for creating winning strategies and executing them flawlessly
  • Proven ability to collaborate across different functions to achieve results
  • Demonstrated cross-functional leadership skills
  • Experience in developing channel and category strategies
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong drive to succeed
  • Ability to build internal credibility and navigate a fast-paced, matrix organisation.

This role is based in Farringdon, and it will be required to come to the office 1 day per week.
