Salary: £27,000 - £32,000

Location: Sheffield (Hybrid)

We are looking for a Consultant Ecologist to join a multi-disciplinary consultancy in Sheffield. This is the ideal opportunity for an Ecologist or Assistant Ecologist who's ready to join a new team. With a wide variety of projects available, you will have the necessary exposure to a range of environments, allowing you to develop as a professional Ecologist.

As a Consultant Ecologist, your duties will include:

1. Design and delivery of protected species surveys
2. Assisting Project Managers
3. Supporting Senior and Principal Ecologists on complex sites
4. Sharing best advice and Ecological practice to your clients

To be considered for the Consultant Ecologist position, you will need:

1. A competent level of mitigation knowledge for at least one protected species
2. Confidence in conducting site surveys for a range of species and habitats
3. Survey license/s for at least one protected species (e.g. GCN, Bats, Dormice, Barn owl)
4. Experience of sharing knowledge with others; either in person, by developing learning material, community education or otherwise
