NET Developer

Avanti Recruitment is partnering with a global engineering company based in Sheffield that is undergoing an exciting digital transformation. Their core business serves customers worldwide, and their small but ambitious IT team (5 developers) is passionate about modernising their technical stack and embracing modern development practices.

They are looking to hire an experienced .NET Developer to strengthen their development team as they migrate from legacy applications to modern cloud-based solutions. This full-time, on-site position requires attendance at their Sheffield office 5 days per week.

The Role
A Full-Stack .NET Developer position to join their dynamic development team of 5 professionals. You'll play a crucial role in maintaining and modernising their systems, including the migration from legacy applications to modern frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance existing WebForms applications while contributing to their modernisation
• Develop new features using .NET Core and modern web technologies
• Work with Oracle databases to optimise performance and maintain data integrity
• Collaborate with the team on architecture decisions and best practices
• Contribute to their cloud transformation journey

Required Skills

• Strong experience with C# .NET WebForms
• Proven expertise in .NET Core development
• Solid understanding of Oracle databases and SQL/PL-SQL
• Experience with modern front-end frameworks (Blazor preferred)
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

Desirable Skills

• Azure DevOps experience
• Docker and containerisation knowledge
• Experience with Mendix
• Understanding of SAP S/4 HANA
• Manufacturing industry experience
