An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our cancer services pharmacy team. You will be part of a growing multi-professional team that provides specialist cancer care to patients at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. This position is for pharmacists who wish to gain experience in all aspects of pharmacy cancer services, gaining skills and knowledge as a foundation for a future career as a highly specialist oncology/haematology pharmacist.
You will work alongside other specialist oncology pharmacists on a rotational programme within oncology. The rotational areas include:
Candidates should have demonstrable competencies in hospital clinical pharmacy practice, excellent communication skills, and commitment to pharmaceutical care. Furthermore, candidates should be highly organized and have undertaken a Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy (or equivalent).
Following successful completion of an accreditation programme, the post holder will clinically screen prescriptions for systemic anticancer therapy for inpatients and outpatients in accordance with procedures.
