Job description

We have the privilege of recruiting on behalf of an innovative business, who are a leader in their sector, supplying UK and European Retail customers with Fresh, High Quality Fresh Produce. Due to exciting growth within the business, we currently offer the opportunity of Junior Commercial Manager.

The position of Junior Commercial Manager is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic, driven, and passionate individual to join a highly respected supplier to retail customers. With a desire to learn and achieve, the successful individual will become fundamental support in a fast-paced environment, contributing to and achieving the highest level of customer service and satisfaction.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Commercial management for a dedicated category, working with colleagues across all departments to offer all customers the highest level of service and exceptional product range & quality.
  2. Management across the supply chain, working with fresh produce growers and customers to deliver and improve the category plan.
  3. Develop and manage an allocated category, to continue growth and maintain high service levels.
  4. Manage joint business development plans, to ensure alignment with fresh produce growers and consumers.
  5. Monitor, evaluate, and further develop commercial performance.
  6. Data gathering and generating reports / presentations.
We require:
  1. Experience in a commercially focused position, with the ability to achieve in a fast-paced environment.
  2. Exposure to a Fresh Food / Fresh Produce sector.
  3. A high level of organisation, attention to detail, and a personable & professional approach.
  4. Ability to manage key retail customer accounts, professionally and commercially focused.
  5. Experience of tenders with the retailers, owning and leading.
  6. Strong IT skills; Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint.

This opportunity will be fast-paced and demanding, requiring a motivated, passionate, and results-driven commercial individual.

Salary: Competitive + Bonus & Company Benefits

Location: Kent or London – this role will offer 4 days a week in the office and 1 day a week work from home.
