Job description

Here at the Mick George Group, we are recruiting a Project Manager to join the team.


Location: Norfolk


Pay: Dependent on experience, to be discussed at an interview.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Review and communicate all design and temporary works activities in Mick George Earthworks and with client engineers.
  2. Manage and communicate all works activities between the client and in Mick George Earthworks senior management.
  3. Organise and control all subcontract works and report to client and in-house senior management.
  4. Liaise directly with supply chain.
  5. Assist commercial team with forecasts, CVRs and program.
  6. Communicate program requirements and works schedule to site team.
  7. Monitor progress on program and weekly work schedules.

Required Skills & Competencies:
  1. SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) or equivalent health and safety certification.
  2. CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card.
  3. Proven experience as a site manager or similar role in the construction industry, with a strong track record of successful project delivery.
  4. Comprehensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations in the UK.
  5. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  6. Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  7. Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
  8. A pro-active team member.
  9. Diploma or degree in construction management, engineering, or related field. (Desirable)
  10. Knowledge of Earthworks and items of heavy plant (Desirable).
