Job Summary:

About the Role and Team

Reporting to the Manager of DTC Content Fulfilment, EMEA Originals & Currents, this role oversees the creation and delivery of digital assets to Disney’s DTC services. You’ll have relevant experience of content production, localisation, mastering and digital distribution within the supply chain pipeline, and experience working with vendors and postproduction third parties.

Demonstrating excellent customer focus and communication skills, remaining calm under pressure, with the ability to remain productive is essential. Ideally, you’ll have excellent project management skills, attention to detail, and organisational ability. Within this role, you’ll provide support to the Team Manager, including coaching the team, approving orders, running internal team meetings, and working with senior stakeholders as required.

What you will do

Key Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with vendors to maintain the efficient delivery of content through the lifecycle of a title, in line with key milestones and workflows, overseeing Mastering, Localisation and delivery of content to the platform.
  • Manage the needs and expectations of internal stakeholders with clear and timely communication and collaboration, with visibility of title status and progress.
  • Build relationships with Production companies to manage QC feedback and communication efficiently to maintain Mastering SLA and downstream milestones.
  • Coaches and trains other team members working with the DTC Manager to build a high-performing team.
  • Raise accurate and timely orders to commission the creation, localisation and delivery of audio, video, timed text and creative metadata for specific titles across multiple languages, recognising unique requirements for each while ensuring creative consistency and cost control.
  • Maintain tracking and status tool to provide visibility of title plans, progress, and problems for stakeholders and leadership.
  • Research Disney systems to establish available elements and request asset movements as directed and required.
  • Raise accurate and timely purchase/work orders, process vendor invoices and resolve invoice queries as per vendor EFC (estimated forecasted costs).
  • Provide feedback and collaborate to improve workflows to ensure that business objectives are met.
  • Provide production schedules to Vendors and participate in onboarding and locking post drop schedules via email and calls.
  • Action Rejections and recall notifications and update/replace materials as required.
  • Management of workflow and tasks to be undertaken within agreed SLA timelines.
  • Resolve metadata integrity issues across stakeholders.
  • Provide timely feedback to Planning and Metrics team to maintain high levels of servicing with vendors and internally.
  • Contribute to the team and collaborate on specific projects and opportunities to improve workflows.

Other General Activities

  • Attend and contribute to Team, Departmental, Cluster and communication meetings.
  • Work with Global Disney stakeholders to align and improve workflows and processes.
  • Timely completion of bi-annual D-Achieve with Line Manager.
  • Attend training sessions or action development plans as identified during D-Achieve.
  • Coordinate representation of team within broader Company meetings as required.
  • Work effectively with departmental colleagues and cross-functionally with other members of studio operations.
  • Work with TWDC Accounts Payable to resolve Vendor billing issues.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external parties.
  • Maintain a strong awareness of technical developments in the digital media space.
  • Adhere to defined Studio Operations business processes, taking opportunities to improve.
  • Provide training for colleagues as required.
  • Participate in systems testing and contribute suggestions for workflow and systems improvement.
  • Provide holiday and sickness cover for colleagues under the ‘Buddy’ scheme.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience in TV Distribution/Streaming/Postproduction/Technology required.
  • Experience working with 3rd party vendors to maintain efficient delivery of content within the supply chain.
  • Proven experience of File-based and UHD technology, digital file delivery.
  • Experience of Mastering QC analysis and corrective recommendations an advantage.
  • Thorough experience of content localisation, production, mastering and digital distribution.
  • Excellent and demonstrable project management experience.
  • Good knowledge of Disney internal systems an advantage.
  • Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Strong presentation & communication skills.
