Job Purpose:

The Manager, Logistic Billing will be responsible for the direct supervision and development of EMEA's billing departments to successfully complete their work and continually meet and exceed department goals. He/She will be responsible for regional oversight for Logistics service billing, customs, and tax fees for Marken shipments. The Manager, Billing Services will design and implement an end-to-end process to accommodate all elements of services charges including duties and taxes charges, Internal/External queries Management incurred during Marken’s operations in respect of its clients. This includes identification, reallocation, and reconciliation processes, together with assisting on the design and implementation of new systems and required processes. He/She will provide support to ensure the smooth running of the daily billing in accordance with the group guidelines.

Position will be office-based in Feltham UK.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Proactively drive the billing process for the local team and prepare analyses as required
2. Ensure invoices are timely, accurate, and complete in accordance with the customer’s / The company’s guidelines and expectations
3. Gather, analyze, and communicate monthly billing summaries and closing reports for management and client review, as directed
4. Oversee accuracy of job cost estimation and actuals vs revenue
5. Collaborate with other departments to ensure billing accuracy
6. Distribute team weekly responsibilities and address follow-up questions/requests (Internal & External)
7. Analyze claims on invoices, perform appropriate follow up on any issues or mistakes and resolving when necessary
8. Ensure all client issues are resolved and addressed according to company policy in a timely manner
9. Assist & support Finance in analyzing and reconciling customer revenue and cost and periodic audits and clean ups
10. Write, maintain, correct, and develop work instructions to ensure all billing associates are following the same process to improve & increase accuracy and efficiency
11. Use problem-solving skills to develop solutions and procedures to improve workflow process
12. Successfully onboard new accounts/clients & handover to the team
13. Promote development and growth within the team
14. Maintain a good team cohesion through verbal and written communications
15. Manage direct reports: hire, train, motivate, and evaluate team members

Required Qualifications:

• Billing experience within a courier or logistics environment where cross border taxes are regularly incurred and often recharged
• Previous experience managing delivery across a range of functions with little direct management oversight
• Experience of incomplete record analysis
• Management experience
• Demonstrable experience of simultaneous delivery across a range of streams
