Job description

SpacePay, an industry leader in cryptocurrency payments, is seeking an experienced part-time Accountant Contractor. This remote role requires a professional with expertise in financial regulations within the cryptocurrency space, managing PAYE and EMI schemes, devising strategic tax solutions, handling the CEO’s taxes, and adept at navigating the intricacies of R&D tax credits.

Responsibilities:

  1. Managing and maintaining PAYE and EMI schemes.
  2. Developing and implementing tax strategies to decrease company’s tax liabilities and increase profitability.
  3. Sorting out the CEO’s taxes, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely filing.
  4. Identifying opportunities to apply R&D tax credits and maximizing these benefits.
  5. Preparing accurate financial statements, reports, and projections.
  6. Collaborating with internal teams to ensure all financial procedures are followed.
  7. Keeping updated with the latest financial laws and regulations, especially those relevant to the cryptocurrency industry.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification preferred).
  2. Proven experience in managing PAYE and EMI schemes.
  3. Deep understanding of tax codes and laws, particularly those relevant to R&D tax credits and cryptocurrency.
  4. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing tax strategies that increase company profitability.
  5. Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
  6. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial matters clearly.
  7. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with blockchain technologies is a plus.
