Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Help with mobility, transferring clients in and out of beds, chairs, or wheelchairs.
- Provide medication reminders and assistance with medication management.
- Support clients with meal preparation and feeding.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote emotional well-being.
- Monitor and record client health and progress, reporting any concerns to Management or healthcare professionals.
- Ensure the environment is clean and safe for the clients, including tidying rooms and making beds.
- Respect client privacy and dignity at all times.
- Adhere to care plans and follow instructions from senior care staff or medical professionals.
- Ensure confidentiality of client information and follow all relevant care standards and policies.
- Attend training and development sessions as required.
Skills And Qualifications
- Previous experience in care or a similar role is essential.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to care.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- A strong commitment to providing high-quality care.
- Basic first aid knowledge and an understanding of health and safety regulations.
- A relevant care qualification (e.g., NVQ in Health and Social Care) is preferrable.
- Driving is required.
