Job description

Responsibilities

• In vitro transcription to produce mRNA at different scales to support the platform development and therapeutic programs.
• RNA Purification using affinity chromatography (AKTA) and other strategies for purification.
• Quality control assays for mRNAs like electrophoresis, ELISA, qPCR, etc.
• Perform cell-based assays, such as cell culture, transfection, and flow cytometry.
• Work closely with the manager and cross-functional team members on multiple tasks with the ability to analyze, interpret, and present data.
• Assist in ordering reagents from internal and external suppliers and communicating with CROs.
• Generate reliable and reproducible data in a timely manner.
• Read and adapt scientific literature to accomplish assignments. Demonstrate broad and versatile technical expertise within discipline.
• Maintain electronic laboratory notebooks (ELN) in compliance with the Company Laboratory Notebook Policy.
• Stay updated and in compliance on all departmental and corporate training.

Requirements

• MS in molecular biology, biochemistry, biomedical engineering, or related field with 0-2 years of experience in biotherapeutics or genetic medicine or BS with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant industry experience.
• Hands-on experience with nucleic acid preparation, purification (AKTA), QC, and cell-based assays.
• Working knowledge of related tools/software (SnapGene, Prism, FlowJo, Excel, PowerPoint etc.).
• Self-motivated, hard-working, detail-oriented, resourceful, and able to work in a fast-paced team environment with demonstrated problem-solving skills.
• High-quality written and oral communication skills and the ability to excel in a collaborative environment.
