Head of Content & Internal Communications

Comms Search and Selection has partnered with Stolt-Nielsen, a market leader in bulk-liquid logistics and sustainable land-based aquaculture, to recruit a newly created Head of Content and Internal Communications. This is a brilliant opportunity for a senior content and communications professional with a background in regulated and listed corporates to establish and deliver a market-leading content and communications strategy.

The Head of Content & Internal Communications will work closely with Stolt Nielsen's Head of Corporate Communications, senior leadership and CEO to create and deliver an engaging content and internal communications strategy that drives brand awareness and stakeholder engagement across all communications channels such as their website, intranet, social media, to press releases and the annual report. Alongside taking the lead on writing great copy, you will manage, and work with in-house designers at Stolt Studio to deliver content. You will also lead Stolt's internal communications activities and mentor a more junior but rising-star internal communications colleague.

As Head of Content and Internal Communications, you will be an excellent copywriter and creative individual with experience working in fast-paced, high-performance cultures. You will enjoy delivery and tactical execution alongside strategic thinking. Preferably, you will have experience working for a listed company in a highly regulated industry.

Your Responsibilities

  1. Content Management & Creation
    • Develop and deliver a comprehensive content strategy that enhances brand awareness and establishes Stolt-Nielsen as a thought leader in the industry.
    • Manage and oversee content across multiple external platforms, including the company website, social media, newsletters, and corporate presentations.
    • Develop engaging written and visual content, including articles, blogs, press releases, infographics, reports, videos, and social media campaigns.
    • Collaborate with marketing, sales, HR, and finance teams to maintain a consistent and compelling brand message.
    • Work with internal and external stakeholders, including agencies and in-house designers at Stolt Studio, to ensure high-quality content aligned with company objectives.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for non-financial CEO communications, ensuring messaging is clear, impactful, and aligned with business goals.
  2. Internal Communications & Employee Engagement
    • Develop and execute an internal communications strategy that fosters employee engagement and alignment with the company’s vision and values.
    • Partner with HR, Finance, and leadership teams to design and implement communication programs that keep employees informed and motivated.
    • Lead town hall meetings, executive communications, and employee engagement initiatives, reaching over 2,000 onshore and 4,000 offshore employees.
  3. Brand & Corporate Communications
    • Oversee brand messaging and positioning, ensuring consistency in voice and style across all content.
    • Draft and implement content strategy and style guides, ensuring all communication adheres to company standards.
    • Support annual report production, ensuring content accuracy and alignment between print and digital versions.

Qualifications & Experience

  1. 10+ years’ experience in content creation, including in-house, agency, journalism or publishing.
  2. 10+ years’ experience or equivalent in people, culture and internal communications.
  3. A demonstrable track record working in a strategic corporate communications role with experience in dealing with senior business leaders.
  4. A demonstrable track record of creating and delivering internal communication strategies that engage employees and create a positive working environment.
  5. Experience in producing external communications for a listed company in a highly regulated industry.
